It&#8217;s not a gimmick; it&#8217;s a power-packed tool that taps into the strengths of AI technology in ways we&#8217;ve never seen before.<\/p>\n<p>Soon after ChatGPT&#8217;s launch, Microsoft recognized its potential and invested <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-01-23\/microsoft-makes-multibillion-dollar-investment-in-openai\"><u>$10 billion<\/u><\/a>\u00a0into OpenAI. Some plugins allow it to access the web and cite sources in its answers, just like Bing. Of course this comes with its own safety challenges, like quoting unreliable sources.<\/p>\n<p>Notice how each time ChatGPT cannot accurately answer a question, it coughs up &#8220;general information&#8221; or insight based on &#8220;speculation and rumors&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This is where things get tricky.<\/p>\n<p>When content is created based on guesswork, accuracy goes out the window. This is one of the <em>many<\/em>\u00a0chinks in ChatGPT&#8217;s armor. While the second half is GPT-heavy, the first half is a witty treat whipped up by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/authors\/nilay-patel\"><u>Nilay Patel<\/u><\/a>, an award-winning editor and blogger.<\/p>\n<p>ChatGPT is an asset when it lands in the <em>right<\/em>\u00a0hands.
