Safe Browsing<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/safebrowsing.google.com\/\"><u>Google Safe Browsing<\/u><\/a>\u00a0helps keep the internet safe.<\/p>\n<p>It gives immediate warnings to web users who are about to navigate dangerous sites or download harmful content.<\/p>\n<p>As a webmaster, you will also be notified if your site is compromised in any way.<\/p>\n<p>Using this insight, you should promptly diagnose and resolve the specified issues to get your site back on track.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/transparencyreport.google.com\/safe-browsing\/overview\"><u>Google&#8217;s Transparency Report<\/u><\/a>\u00a0to get started.<\/p>\n<p>Follow this up by checking your <a href=\"https:\/\/transparencyreport.google.com\/safe-browsing\/search\"><u>site status<\/u><\/a>\u00a0to understand where you stand.<\/p>\n<p>You can also use Google Search Console to check for any security issues.<\/p>\n<p>If your site doesn&#8217;t provide safe browsing to web users, start by scanning all site files to detect and remove malicious software.<\/p>\n<p>You can also ask your hosting company to do this.<\/p>\n<p>Your site should have an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/advisor\/business\/software\/what-is-an-ssl-certificate\/\"><u>SSL certificate<\/u><\/a>, a strong password, and a unique username (avoid &#8220;admin&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>Use a secure host and web application firewall and schedule daily (or preferably hourly) backups.<\/p>\n<p>Work with cybersecurity experts to understand your site&#8217;s unique lapses and correct them accordingly.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"_Toc114243105\"><\/a><strong><b>5.3.
